Nosara Hotels
If our Surf Coaching Resort is full do not fear, there are other options. We do offer surf lessons to guests staying else where in Nosara. Although you won't be able to benefit from all the teaching facilities at our resort (video feedback, duck dive/turtle roll/paddle technique filming in our training pool, judging lessons, meteorology, surf theory and demonstrative coaching) you'll still be getting coached by some of the world's best down on the beach.
Below, you will find a list of hotels which we recommend. There's a brief description and a link. All the places are only a short walk from the beach and several restaurants. If you have any special requirements or questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are happy to help you out at every stage of planning your trip.
The Harmony Hotel - High-end hotel
If you like to be pampered then this is the place for you. The owners, John and Susan, have made this place really beautiful. The Harmony has an organic restaurant and the Healing Center offers yoga classes with Joy and Kate, who are both excellent yoga instructors.
Cafe de Paris - Range of accommodation prices, great location
Cafe de Paris is a great place to hang out. There's a little restaurant with a pool and an internet cafe. They have a wide range of rooms and are in a great location right next door to innocent surf school and a short walk from the beach. Speak to Reiner about booking.
Villa Mango - Peaceful / stunning views
Villa Mango is 10 minutes drive back up in the hills and has amazing views over the coastline. Joe and Agnes are your hosts and are both wonderful people. (Car or ATV rental probably necessary, otherwise it’s 30 mins walk to us).
The Nosara Beach House - Small and quiet with mini-kitchenette
This is a quiet little guest house only has three rooms and is as close to the beach as you can be. Each room has a little kitchenette and although the Nosara Beach House doesn’t have a restaurant there are several close by.
Casa Romantica - Mid-range hotel
The Casa Romantica is great value for money. It is a peaceful place and has it's own walk way through to the beach. Situated next door to the Nosara Beach House, it has a fantastic restaurant where cooking is done by the Swiss owner.
The Harbor Reef - Mid-range hotel
The Harbor Reef is a great choice and a reliable place to stay. It's mid-priced and the restaurant is one of my favorites in Nosara, situated next to a beautiful pool. The staff at the Harbor Reef are awesome too.
Giardino Tropicale - Mid-range hotel
Set back slightly further from the beach, but still only about a 10 minute walk. Another Swiss owned hotel a little more rustic than it’s neighbors. Good restaurant famous for it’s pizzas. Visited by an organic market each week that sets up in the car park.
The Gilded Iguana - Lively, mid-budget hotel
A 15 minute walk from us, just opposite Kaya Sol, so still close to the beach. Great food is served at a lively restaurant, frequented by occasional live music acts. A range of rooms are available, situated a short walk away from the mini-supermarket.
Kaya Sol - Lively, budget option
A great budget option. Kaya Sol has a lively bar in the evenings, often with live music and is popular among younger surfers. Kaya Sol has dorms rooms for as little as $12 per night or private rooms from $40. It also has a cool little pool and is a real surfer hang out.
NOTE: Villa Mango is the only recommendation we make which is more than a short walk away from innocent surf school. Of the others, Kaya Sol, Giardino Tropicale and the Gilded Iguana are the furthest, being a 10-15 minute walk away.
